Official Catholic Document on Salvation At Vatican website - approved by Pope John Paul II on June 16, 2000.  This 21-page document is clear that Salvation is through the Catholic Church only.
Official Catholic Document on their version of the Ten Commandments See from the Vatican website how they removed the commandment to not make a "graven image" to allow justification for statues.
(Catholic commandments are under the column titled "A Traditional Catechetical Formula").
Catechism of the Catholic Church According to Catholic Cannon this is considered equal to the Bible in authority.
Catholic Encyclopedia Helpful to understand Catholic terminology.  Definitions are important!  For example, Grace is defined as help by God for "salutary acts"...  A salutary act means a "favorable act."  So, according to the Catholic definition of Grace, it is received based on a work one does.  This is opposite of the Biblical definition of Grace (Romans 11:6)... please refer to Grace on the Listen page.
New American Bible Catholic Bible - many Catholics Apologist are now preferring the Catholic Douay-Rheims.

The Spurgeon Archive This is the "Link of Links."  This site is entertaining as well as having links and descriptions of sites ranging from the best of Christian links to the worst including non-Christian sites.
Fox's Book of Martyrs Read how the Christian Faith flourished through times of persecution.  This is an enlightening book written hundreds of years ago and now available on the net.

Particular Chapters that are Catholic related:
  - Chapter 3   - "Papal Persecutions." (Popes ordering persecution for non-Catholics)
  - Chapter 4   - "An Account of the Inquisition ."
  - Chapter 5   - "An Account of the Persecutions in Italy, Under the Papacy."
  - Chapter 6   - "An Account of the Persecutions in Bohemia Under the Papacy."
  - Chapter 17 - "Rise and Progress of the Protestant Religion in Ireland; with an account of the Barbarous Massacre of 1641."  These particularly sad events are told in detail of extreme Catholic brutality in very many events.  The only way to justify these events is to consider them
Satanic.

John Schindler

"Praise be to the God... who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." 2 Cor 1:5
John Shindler suffered from September, 1996 until September, 1998 with ALS
(a slow disabling of the nervous & muscular systems).

Living by Faith How many times have you offered the gospel of salvation "by grace through faith...not by works" only to have the person respond, "That can’t be right, it’s too easy!"? It’s happened to me, and now I just ...
Testimonial The testimony of John Schindler who believed that the Bible was "just one of many religious myths---sort of a Jewish version of Greek mythology ..."
Answering A Tough Question "One of the most frustrating aspects of my illness is the inability to speak..."

Note: John's faith was very strong and truly expected to be delivered from this disease with reference verses like as what Jesus said, "You may ask me for anything in My Name, and I will do it." John 14:14

Yet, God continued to test his faith and use his trial to comfort others.  Although he had times of depression, frustration and struggled to understand why he wasn't delivered, he never gave up his love for Jesus.  At his funeral he requested the hymns "How Great Thou Art", "Great Is Thy Faithfulness," and "Victory in Jesus."
