Can you earn God’s
Saving Grace or is it a free gift?
God’s Saving Grace is the ultimate prize.
It is the only door to heaven.
But how do we get it?
We want to earn it…
but how good do you have to be?
The Bible gives the
answer to this great secret: You
only have to be perfect...
and
since we’ve inherited sin and the Bible says that all has sinned, no one
is perfect.
So
no
one is good enough!
You
should worry but don’t!

God has a better plan!
His
Grace.
Grace means unmerited favor. It is God providing Jesus to pay your
sin for you.
It is a free gift for those who accepts it with the right
motive.
What motive?
God says repent.
Repent?
God
says to repent!… to turn away from yourself, turn
to God!
Rely on God
because He
wants to Save you!
This is where God,
your Creator has changed your heart to allow an attitude of
repentance.
Relying on the one true God.
Jesus said that Salvation is only through Jesus - none other.
Jesus said that it is God who draws someone to Jesus.
Why
Jesus? God provided His only
Son, Jesus,
who had no sin,
to be sacrificed for all
the people of the world.
So are we all Saved? No.

Only
the people who accept this free gift from God.
Think
of what happened. It is a free gift. You didn't earn it.
You didn't pay for it - Jesus did. There is no suffering, no burning
fires to be purified is required because the Bible tells us that Jesus
paid for your sin - no you.
Jesus wiped out your sin debt! Past, present & future! That's
why you are purified! No Purgatory!
The debt is paid in full! You cannot pay for a debt that only Jesus
could pay for - you are not Jesus.
That's
too easy! No. The price was great!

The debt is only paid if you
receive the free gift! Don't receive it by just saying the
words. You must believe that Jesus can and will Save you.
Believe and pray, “Jesus, I have sinned.
Your Father has sent you as a gift to take my sins if I trust in
you as the only Savior. You know that I could never be good enough to earn
your favor – only God can do that – and Jesus did.
You allowed a way for me to be right with you by allowing Jesus to die and
prove His power over death by rising from the dead.
Thank you for your free gift. Teach me to grow in my love for you
and be in your service.”
God’s
Word:
Rom
3:23-24 “for all
have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
being
justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in
Christ Jesus”
Salvation
can’t be earned…
Rom 11:6 “But if (salvation) is by grace, it
is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer
grace.
Rom
5:15 “the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the
many.”
Eph
2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith ; and that not
of yourselves, it is the
gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Rom
6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free
gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”
2
Cor 9:15 “Thanks to God for His indescribable gift!”

Being
good is important.
Trying to do good things are important to God but only after we
have accepted His free gifts.
These good works are from God.
Eph
2:10.For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Doing
good works shows your faith.
It’s easy to say you have faith but if you have no desire to do
what God has asked, then you have no true faith.
James
2:14 “What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he
has no works? Can that faith save him?”
24. “You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith
alone.” 26. “For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also
faith without works is dead.”
Salvation
is a free gift of God by His grace.
We can’t earn it but we must receive it by believing in Jesus as
our Savior.
Like Abraham, who believed first, then trusted God when He was
asked to prove his faith as he brought Isaac to the altar, we also gladly
prove our faith by works prepared by God.
1 John 2:2 He Himself is the propitiation for our sins ; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.
Romans 3:23-28 NASB: "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Where then is boasting ? It is excluded. By what kind of law ? Of works ? No, but by a law of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law."
